Lincoln
Lincoln Brown was born in Jamaica but living in Austria since he left his beautiful Island. He graduated from the Frome Junior Secondary school in Westmoreland, Jamaica. Lincoln discovered his talent for music at the age of 14 in a way that was quite unusual. He never wanted to be a singer or had any interest in the entertainment business. Nevertheless, all that changed after he had a dream one night where he was floating in the sky amid white clouds. A human image dressed in a white gown shaped out of white cloud touched him three times on his shoulder and said, Young Man, stand up, write songs and sing!
The following morning, Lincoln sat on the lawn with pen and paper and wrote a song with the title, Oh sweet Mary. He said that after this dream, and during writing, the strong desire to want to sing and the Joy it gives him when he does so was hard to explain in words. Two days later, during school hours, he showed the lyrics to one of his male teachers at the Frome Junior Secondary School, located in Frome, Westmoreland, Jamaica. The impressed teacher congratulated and encouraged him to follow his dreams.
Lincoln became so determined to share his talent with others that he came up with the idea to audition for a talent show. The first time he held a microphone in his hand and sang with a live band was when he auditioned for this contest. Miraculously, Lincoln was chosen as one of the contestants to perform his song before an audience at a theater in Savanna-la-mar, Westmoreland, Jamaica. The tickets for the show were sold out, with over 2000 people attending!
After the performances of all the contestants, it was time to announce the winners. One of the Judges stood up and called the names of the winners from 4th to 2nd place. When friends of Lincoln who accompanied him didn’t hear his name called, they all thought that not even a place in the top four did he win. Then in a breathtaking moment with a few pauses, the Judge finally called Lincoln’s name as the winner as best singer/songwriter. What a thrilling moment that was! He was called on stage to perform the song again in which he did in tears while the crowd was going wild. Was this from God to show Lincoln that this dream had some special meaning, or did it all just meant for him to sing and win a talent show? We’ll find out!
Even though Lincoln never seemed to achieve success in the way the world recognizes it, music was always giving hope and helped him to overcome many difficult situations in life. Astoundingly, it seems as if the pieces of this puzzle are finally coming together at a time when it appears not possible anymore. The songwriter, composer, producer, and entertainer Lincoln Brown, has gathered a vast amount of stage experience singing for an audience of all ages. He has been performing in some of the finest 5-star hotels, at private parties, seminars, balls, open-air concerts, weddings, on cruise ships, etcetera.
One of his talents is his flexibility and his ability to make his Audience enjoys his performance to the full. Lincoln is a very flexible singer, and his repertoire includes songs from different genres. He always receives a standing ovation when he sings songs from two of his favorite artists Frank Sinatra and Neil Diamond.
